Step 3, cut, sewn, pressed, and trimmed. Done!
The Easy Angle ruler made it easy to cut and sew these blocks together. Using the ruler minimized the wonkiness factor that I have gotten in the past when making these. The name of this block is Brave World and has also been called split four-patch.
Ah...the Sacred Rulers. Love 'em, but can't figure out how to use them on other projects.

Sharyn, you can always google the ruler name and find tutorials on how to use them. If Bonnie hadn't given great directions on her blog, I would have had to look up how to use the rulers.
DeleteI used the Easy Angle ruler for the first time on a one previous projet and loved it. So much easier than cutting a square in half and drawing all those lines. Love your variety - and all those purples. The only reason I used green in place of purple was my stash is low in purple and I really didn't want to buy tons of fabric for this. However, I had to get more B&W and teal - lol!
ReplyDeleteYour patches look fantastic. Clue 4 is nearly here – woo hoo!
