Stepping Stones Progressing

I am fiddling around with the final layout for "Stepping Stones", which was started back in August at a Judy Niemeyer workshop hosted by my guild. The instructor was May Snook of Rolla, MO. The blocks still need  the remainder of the sashings plus a border. The pattern calls for a piano key border, but not being a fan of that style, I will probably come up with something else.

  1. It looks amazing, Mary Ellen, and I think this layout works well. It's going to be a great quilt, in what I think of as your "signature" colours!

    1. Thanks, Monica. I have been auditioning fabrics for the border. I have something that looks pretty good, but it is earmarked for another project. I know where to get more, though.

    1. Margaret. those points are not magic, but paper pieced. I will show you in the next post what the back looks like before I take off all the paper.
