It's been very hot here of late. Upper 90s most of the time. Our guild had a Sew Day Friday to work on quilts for tornado victims. By the time they are finished the weather will be cooler and the quilts will be needed.
I have a quilt top that I could have quilted or at least made inroads with quilting it. However I couldn't get the last border to cooperate. I am going to get cataract surgery soon and the cataract is slowing me down. I had a fellow guild member help me. Turns out I cut two pieces about a half inch too large. That is never going to work. Now that I know what the problem is I can fix it. It's a three yard quilt pattern.
I haven't been interested in these patterns before. They weren't scrappy enough (or at all really) for me but now with my vision problems they seem just right. No brainers.
I am making a Christmas stocking from a Sheperd's Bush pattern.
